Moreton Island and the Tangalooma wrecks could just be Southern Queensland's best kept secret. Just 35 minutes from downtown Brisbane lays a tropical island paradise. Where else could you cruise along aqua waters to snorkel the Tangalooma shipwrecks or Flinders' coral reefs, feed tropical fish, watch for sightings of dolphins, swim in crystal clear waters and enjoy a gourmet chicken and seafood smorgasbord lunch?

Moreton Island - Tangalooma Wrecks

Moreton Bay is now a internationally recognized marine park and is home to many marine animals - Bottlenose and Indo Pacific humpback dolphins are in abundance, the rare and shy dugong enjoys grazing on Moreton Bay sea grass meadows, and the Humpback Whales even travel on their annual migration through the marine park. Marine turtles (Logerhead & Green) love these spectacular waters, and other marine life such as rays, sub-tropical fish and marine invertebrates are all home in Moreton Bays Marine Park also - if you do the guided snorkeling tour you may even meet the resident wobbegong.
