School Groups / Excursions
Dolphin Wild provides a quality educational eco-tour and has drafted a Marine Studies Program designed around the current curriculum that will give your students the opportunity to build upon the knowledge they've acquired in your classroom in a spectacular outdoor setting. Our luxury vessel the 'Sea Watch' can comfortably accommodate 41 passengers and our professional crew will enlighten you with expert commentary throughout the day.
Our Marine Studies Program is designed around the current curriculum and provides a practical application to a range of topics covered in the classroom. Your students will have the opportunity to build upon substantive knowledge through our expert crew's insightful commentary.
Some examples of topics covered on our tour include:
Marine History
- learn about early exploration and settlement in the area
- develop an appreciation for the local aboriginal traditions
Boat Safety & Orientation
- identify necessary safety equipment and proper safety procedures
- Become orientated with our vessel's navigation and communication equipment
Marine Watch & Environmental Awareness
- Observe the behaviour of local marine animals such as dolphins, dugongs, turtles, sting rays and wobbegongs

Moreover, your students will have the opportunity to practice practical skills such as marine animal behaviour observation, data collection, recording and analysis with an emphasis on proper safety and conservation procedures.

- Record their experience and observations in a snorkel log which we have specially designed for marine studies students
